Eastwood Ranch Foundation is a non-profit Animal Welfare and Rescue Organization based in SoCal where they rescue domestic animals from high kill shelters.

Actress, film director and model, Alison Eastwood (yes, daughter of Clint) and her partners set up this great organization around their community along with supporting other vetted local rescue to provide care until a forever home is found.

Saturday June 4, is the 2nd Annual Art for Animals fundraiser which is a night of art, wine, food and auctions to support ERF’s ongoing work. Besides local animal rescue, ERF works on behalf of any and all animal welfare causes by helping raise awareness, educating, campaigning/petitioning for Animals throughout the United States and beyond.

Bella Los Angeles spoke with Alison about her foundation, how you can help and her amazing group of celebrity and activist friends including Hilary Swank, Emmy Rossum and brother Scott who are on the host committee:

BLA: What’s the origin of the Eastwood Ranch Foundation?

AE: I helped create and Executive Produce a TV show called Animal Intervention for Nat Geo Wild and saw first hand the need to be a voice for animals. There are so many animals in danger out there that I felt compelled to get involved.  We decided to start Eastwood Ranch Foundation by helping animals in our community first.  We formed the non-profit to be able to rescue from our overflowing shelters here in Southern California. There are so many amazing pets that get euthanized every week because of over population issues so it was important for us to start here in Los Angeles.

BLA: What is your goal for this foundation?

AE: We are currently looking for our own place to have an adoption center and rescue facility. We have been relying on boarding and fosters, but we want to have our own spot to call home. This fundraiser is going to help us get there.

Our goal is to expand Eastwood Ranch Foundation to become a National organization so we can help even more animals across the country.

BLA: How can readers help?

AE: We love the support that Eastwood Ranch Foundation gets through donations!  Donations have saved hundreds of animals and continue to help us increase that number every month.  Donations came be made at www.eastwoodranch.org.

Additionally, tickets for the 2nd Annual Art for Animals fundraiser evening can be purchased at www.eastwoodranch.org.

BLA: What else are you working on currently?

AE: I am working on several film and TV projects, along with a lot of animal rescue.  It’s never ending and incredible!
