Family-friendly dining has been taken to a whole new level with the opening of Au Fudge in West Hollywood.
The eatery is the brainchild of actress and mom Jessica Biel and her business partners.
Au Fudge blends fanciful food, eclectic design and a one-of-a-kind dining experience in an engaging new restaurant/marketplace/creative Space – and it’s awesome!
Located on the iconic Melrose Avenue just west of Robertson Boulevard in the West Hollywood Design District, Au Fudge offers an all inclusive culinary, social and visual oasis for adults and children to equally enjoy as their new home away from home.
Everyone in Los Angeles and beyond is welcome to experience the unique wonderland complete with fantastical bookcases, secret doors, hidden nooks and crannies, stunning interior design, and friendly service.
Add impeccable chef-driven cuisine, a Champagne-centric wine list, curated cocktails and fanciful mocktails, on-site professional Au Pairs, and desserts that are equal parts fantasy and deliciousness and you discover the magic of Au Fudge.
The multi-use restaurant and creative space is inviting, accessible and intended to inspire a sense of community while at the same time creating cherished memories that result from a shared dining experience.
Au Fudge is a collaboration between Biel, Stylist & Designer Estee Stanley, Author & Producer Kimberly Muller, CEO of Barry’s Bootcamp Joey Gonzalez, CEO of Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop Jonathan Rollo, and owner of Terrace Tower, Australia and philanthropist Monica Saunders-Weinberg.
“My journey with Au Fudge began long before I became a mother. I approached this business from the perspective of what someone without kids would want in their favorite restaurant” says Biel.
“It’s been amazing to come full circle and appreciate all the ancillary activities we’ve integrated for children. Au Fudge truly is the perfect solution for these two lifestyles to intersect. Finally a place where you can go – regardless of being single, married, or having a family in tow.”
The team of partners worked closely with Chef James King to develop an innovative menu based on seasonality, organic and locally sourced ingredients, and approachability.
Dishes offer a fresh twist on everyday classics that showcase high-quality and flavor-forward ingredients. The menu additionally offers an enticing yet educational platform for young diners who are just discovering their palates.
Intricate desserts are equal parts decadent and nourishing, showcasing healthful improvements such as beet-dyed pastries and homemade almond milk.
Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options are available for those with dietary restrictions.
“The goal was to create a fun, hip, delicious spot that appeals to everyone, with or without family. We saw a hole in the marketplace for fine dining, premium experiences that don’t exclude people who happen to have children. Everyone will have fun here,” says Stanley.
In addition to an indoor and outdoor dining area, the 4,200 square-foot restaurant also features a creative space chaperoned by professional Au Pairs to help guide children’s fun and creativity in a safe environment.
Creative workshops and classes (customized for kids and grown-ups alike), movie nights and special activities will be part of the everyday ebb and flow of Au Fudge.

The restaurant also features a marketplace where guests can purchase products from local artisans and purveyors, featuring specialty gifts as well as table-ready take-out meals, coffee, and seasonal sides to enjoy with family and friends at home.
Vintage and antique accent pieces and reclaimed wood floors contribute to the space’s eclectic décor utilizing luxurious fabrics from St. Frank. Recognized as EMA’s first Green Seal restaurant, Au Fudge was designed with an eye to sustainability for the whole family, evoking an atmosphere that is equal parts magical, sustainable, and inspiring.
“The Environmental Media Association is beyond impressed by Au Fudge’s commitment to create the first sustainable establishment in Los Angeles, and to be our first restaurant to receive the ‘EMA Green Seal,’” said Debbie Levin, President of the Environmental Media Association.
“They are taking the necessary steps to create a healthy, safe and of course chic environment, therefore being an amazing positive role model. We hope that their green endeavors set a precedent for businesses to follow.”
The founders will be working closely with several charities, both local and national, to help improve the quality of life in communities across the nation.
In addition to donating a portion of proceeds, the team will curate special events for local families in need, offering them unique experiences that bring brightness into their everyday reality, while also reinforcing the importance of giving back.
Au Fudge is at 9010 Melrose Avenue, West Hollywood, CA, 90048. The marketplace bakery and restaurant will serve daily lunch, dinner, late night offerings, and weekend brunch. For the latest updates, follow along on Instagram at @AuFudge.
