Dr. Bill Dorfman is a well renowned dentist with a patient list that reads like the roll call of any A-list event. He’s been known to brighten the smiles of celebrities like Hugh Jackman, Jessica Simpson, Eva Longoria, and Anne Hathaway.
But aside from having one of the most illustrious dental careers, Dorfman is also a prolific philanthropist who uses his skill and expertise to help those who need it most.
He has helped raise more than $30 million for Smiles for Life, and has traveled to South Africa to help raise money for Tomorrow’s Trust, a non-profit that helps children who have become orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS.
Dr. Bill, as he’s known to his clients, has also helped restore the smiles of countless women who were victims of domestic violence through the Los Angeles Battered Women’s Shelter and Safe Passages.
More so, in 2008, Dr. Bill co-founded his non-profit, the LEAP Foundation. LEAP is an award-winning leadership and development program that helps high school and college students get “a 7-year LEAP on success.” Now in its seventh year on the UCLA campus, LEAP draws in nearly 500 students from around the globe, with nearly 60 percent of them attending on scholarship. The weeklong program exposes students to a unique curriculum of goal-setting, effective communication, mentorships, and more.
