Light Up Your Workout with LIT Method

One of the great things about living in LA is how health and fitness conscious everyone is with no shortage of ways to workout inside or outdoors.

And we love trying out new exercise classes so we don’t get bored with our routines.

A fantastic new class we’re absolutely addicted to is LIT Method which uses water rowing machines and resistance bands in a group workout class setting for Low Impact Training, but without sacrificing intensity.

It’s designed to specifically strengthen, empower and correct the body using an intelligent, safe, and effective workout that minimizes impact on bones and joints, while sculpting and strengthening your muscles. LIT’s overall mantra is “we build you, not break you.”

Founded by Taylor Gainor and Justin Norris in 2015, the LIT Method program utilizes a water rowing machine for a low impact cardio experience along with a resistance band training system. This effective fitness regimen is built to specifically target and isolate each muscle group, while giving you an effective cardio burn and improve core strength, posture, endurance, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness, simultaneously.

The LIT Method is a 50-minute group class that is broken up into four phases:

• Compound Movements

• Muscle Isolation

• Corrective Posture and Core Work

• Recovery

The workout ensures little to no impact is placed on the ankles, knees, hips, elbows or shoulders, all of which are prone to injury with other fitness classes.

The water rowing machine is central to the workout, as it activates almost all of the muscles in the body. The signature combination of rowing sequences coupled with LIT Method’s resistance band training system, which provides constant tension to stimulate muscles throughout the class, offers a full body, high-intensity cardio and sculpting workout without risking injury.

While other high-intensity workouts can lead to chronic injuries and eventually will break your body down, LIT Method teaches proper form to build and tone muscles and is the foundation for a lifelong fitness regimen.

Celeb clients include Ashley Benson (Actress, Pretty Little Liars), Kyle Richards (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Monique Coleman (Actress,High School Musical)
