Robertson Blvd Bounces Back: A Shopping Guide

In its heyday Robertson Boulevard was the quintessential LA hotspot and was infiltrated with paparazzi stalking the likes of Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Britney Spears who frequented the premier shopping mecca.

Kitson, Lisa Kline and Nanette Lepore were just a few of the longtime fixtures on the boutique lined street that attracted LA fashionistas; and on any given day you could spot a high profile celebrity making their way through crowds of star- gazers and pushy photogs.

While the buzz of the trendy shopping district cooled off after many retailers, like the ones mentioned above, shut their doors for various reasons, Robertson Blvd is back! The area is thriving again and it’s definitely the place to shop. Here’s a few of our favorite places on Robertson.

British retailer AllSaints has been one of the UK’s favorite brands since launching over 20 years ago. The bare brick and wood stores with their signature front window display of vintage sewing machines opened in the U.S. in 2010 and were welcomed with immediate success. The fashion house is perhaps best known for its muted palette of black, browns, whites and grays as well as their cool biker boots and leather jackets, but has great seasonal pieces like the womenswear “buy now wear now.” Check out the transitional knit and silk dresses that you can just throw a leather jacket over– so perfect for that LA weather that’s warm during day and cooler at night.

Designed in Los Angeles and inspired by classic music icons like David Bowie and Tom Petty, Chaser Brand should be in everyone’s closet. Yes, they have the essential plain white tee, but so much more. Choose from shirts with cool graphics and fun sayings if you’re in a playful mood, or to spice up your look, there is the ever so stylish band T-shirt or sexy going on a date tee. They’re casual, yet so versatile that you can pair one with leggings and heels for a night out, or throw one and look stylish on the beach, running errands or checking out your fave show. We have dozens of their shirts and so should you! We can’t get enough.

There’s so much to love about Intermix, but one of the many fab things about this upscale boutique is that you can shop multiple brands like Stella McCartney, Jimmy Choo, Valentino, Theory, Opening Ceremony, Helmut Lang and so many more big names. However, they also have a great selection of emerging designers and the latest must haves of every season. Intermix is known for putting together on trend pieces in unusual cool ways and for their and impeccable customer service, which is why we shop there so much. Plus the merchandise in each of their 43 stores throughout the U.S and Canada is hand-selected to reflect the style of the neighborhood so you’re always guaranteed a unique fashion point of view.

Lululemon Athletica

There’s a reason why gym junkies are obsessed with Lululemon! But let’s be honest, $100 for workout pants is really pricey, however, Lululemon is so worth it! Sure we all want to look hot at the gym and in this brand you will for sure, but you’ll also feel confident and comfortable while sweating it out on the treadmill or cardio class. The high-end yoga gear retailer is all about trendsetting patterns, perfect fits and amazing quality, which is why it’s so hard to resist Lululemon. Their products last for years plus many of their locations offer a free yoga session every now and then, so what’s not to love?

It’s easy to fall in love with Ted Baker. Throw on a body-hugging floral dress and heels for a night out and you’ll never want to take it off. Ted Baker is that good!
