We love working out in the summer but the humidity and high temperatures can make it tough to step away from the A/C.
Here are 5 items that have been motivating us to keep our workout game strong this summer…and a Spotify playlist curated to inspire you to perspire!
1. Get Some Shade
Vira Sun sunglasses were designed specifically for yogis but they look awesome on everyone. The brand was founded in California by a husband and wife team who love yoga, fitness, and art, and they now call New York City home. All styles boast polarized lenses with UV400 protection, natural arms, metal spring hinges, and laser-etched logos. We love how the colorful lenses (pink or blue!) pair with the natural frames.
2. Get A Leg Up
The Los Angeles based brand, Body Language Sportswear, is a celebrity favorite (Jennifer Lopez, Ashley Greene, and Eva Longoria) and we can see why. With their high performance fabrics and fashionably functional style, we are loving these two hot selling leggings from the brand: the snakeskin print makes you feel fierce all workout long and the mesh paneling on the color blocked tights keep you cool, calm, and collected.
3. Go For the Max
If you follow running shoe trends, the minimalist trend has been all the rage for road warriors for awhile. Now everyone from casual joggers to ultra runners are raving about the wonders of “maximalist”shoes like HOKA ONE ONE. The “marshmallow cushioning” gives you superb shock absorption and comfort, the “meta-rocker midsole” supports the natural running gait and the active foot frame adapts to all types of runners providing them with great stability. These shoes boost up your running game, so tie them on and fit in that run and fight through those gnarly humidity levels.
4. Keep It Fresh
Kai Perfume Oil is an exotic yet light fragrance was inspired by the scents that the founder, Gaye Straza, grew up with during her childhood in Hawaii. The perfume oil comes in a compact little bottle that you can stash anywhere. Just a few dabs make for a perfect motivator to get out the door or as a refresher after a workout class. We also love the Kai Deodorant that you can easily stash in your bag!
5. Pack it All In
ANDI Bags are the perfect workout motivator! If you fear that you’re going to slack on your early morning workout, just load up this bag the night before (basically items #1-4 on this list) and then head out the door in the morning. This lightweight bag was designed not just as a gym bag but also for air travel or as a weekend bag. You can fit a laptop computer, a change of shoes and clothes, and there’s room enough for any of your on the road must-haves.
